With this 55 Relic Strat in Foam Green, John Cruz shows very clearly what is sonically possible in the custom shop. I fell in love with the sound of this guitar from the first second. Even the slightest touch sets the above-average vibrating response in motion. The dynamics of this guitar simply inspire. It instantly translates every nuance of attack and has that slight compression that you get from the real old Strats. Bell-like and round, nice and warm with silky highs. Maybe it's also due to the John Cruz Bone Tone pickups that were installed here. Hand wound by Josefina, of course. Reminiscent of the typical John Mayer sounds. The neck feels great in the hand. 9.5" radius, 6105 frets and 10/56 neck shape with a very subtle V. Lightweight at 3250 grams and very resonant. I can highly recommend this Strat to any sound fetishist. The condition is as good as new and the frets have no play marks.
