This ultra rare Dale Wilson "The Pinup" 61 Strat was specially built by Dale Wilson for Musikhaus Hermann. It took exactly 5 years until the guitar was delivered after order and meanwhile the delivery times for such a guitar are already 6 years. It is really incredible what Dale Wilson has built here for an instrument. From the aging to the sound to the playability, absolute reference class. The aging and the finish can really be called a work of art. The Faded Sonic Blue looks almost like yellowed Vintage White and you can see exactly the different varnish shades. Each aging trace is extremely authentic and you really have the feeling of holding a real old Strat in your hand. The neck also feels like it has been played for 50 years. Fits great in the hand with the slightly beefier 60 style oval C shape and the fatter 6100 jumbo frets. This is a real Stevie Ray Vaughan feeling. Three special hand-signed handwound M.D. (Master designed) Josefina Campos pickups are used as pickups. And they conjure together with the top vibration behavior the classic vintage Strat sounds in top form. Nice and belly, round and with a great tone. Super response. With this unique "The Pinup" Strat Dale Wilson shows again clearly how high the bar can be. Who does not want to wait 6 years can look forward to a top Strat in absolutely mint condition. Also included is a signed autograph from Dale Wilson.
