Pete Thorn's signature model is based on a Suhr Standard in the iconic Stratocaster shape with some modern improvements that can cover any type of music and is played by musicians from a wide variety of musical genres. This special series has a chambered mahogany body with a soundmighty maple top and a very attractive “Vintage Gold” finish. Of course the chambering ensures a fantastic weight of only 3428 grams, which in combination with the super-comfortable “Even C Slim” neck profile and a 10-14'' compound radius offers the very best playing characteristics. The same goal is pursued through the use of a Wilkinson “WVS130 Locking Saddle” tremolo and Suhr locking tuners for optimum tuning stability and easier string changes. In terms of sound, we are dealing here with the specially developed Thornbuckers. These in-house humbuckers allow for an immense musical palette ranging from warm Jazz tones to fat Rock sounds.
