25 years of Duesenberg! It all began in 1995 in the basement of a residential building in the southern part of Hanover with the first Starplayer, which was still handmade by Dieter Gölsdorf at the time. In the years that followed the Starplayer TV experienced a real boom and was used on stage and in the studio by renowned musicians such as Bob Dylan, Mike Campbell and Ronnie Wood. Truly a good reason for Dieter Gölsdorf and his team to celebrate this extremely successful quarter-century with a very special Starplayer. To mark the occasion in 2020 Duesenberg came up with something extraordinary: the 25th Anniversary Limited Edition Duesenberg Starplayer TV Gold Leaf with an incredibly elegant finish of 24-carat gold leaf. Boom! The semi-hollow guitar is made from a spruce top and laminated maple back and sides. The one-piece maple neck with an Indian rosewood fingerboard and a scale length of 25.5“ ensures excellent playability. The ”Diamond Deluxe" tremolo developed by Duesenberg works perfectly and the two pickups (Duesenberg Domino P-90 at the neck and Duesenberg Grand Vintage at the bridge) make the Starplayer a powerful tool thanks to their versatility. Mighty lead sounds and riffs in the bridge position, as well as airy chords and bluesy melodies on the neck! In the middle position a special wiring filters certain frequencies from the humbucker signal to brighten the tone and create a unique third sound.
