Duesenberg guitars are no longer an insider tip. By now a few of the best-known studio, live and session musicians are turning to guitars from Dieter Gölsdorf, who has been a leader in design and innovation for decades. So did Mike Campbell, the longtime guitarist for Tom Petty's Heartbreakers. His signature model at hand achieved notoriety most notably for Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers' performance at the halftime show of the 2008 Super Bowl, where Campbell played it in public for the first time. While this Duesenberg is undoubtedly made for playing it's also a pleasure to look at: bright blue finish, complete with Shelby racing stripes and Art Deco-style chrome hardware adorn the exterior of the Semi-Hollow. Its medium-bodied maple neck, not too chunky or too wide, plays at its finest in conjunction with the jumbo frets, giving the instrument a contemporary solidbody feel. Matching this is the unique Diamond Deluxe tremola developed by Duesenberg, which makes stringing easier and ensures the greatest possible precision and reliability when playing. The best playability is also ensured by the fact that all Duesenbergs are finely tuned in the Plek machine. Sonically, one moves here in the top league! The Domino single coil on the neck provides classic sounds with a voluminous, bell-like and lively tone. The Grand Vintage humbucker at the bridge offers powerful mids, thick highs and distorted it can really fry here. And the middle position is specially wired for a twangy sound. We are happy to offer you this unique guitar in top condition.
