Fender Stratocaster 54 70th Anniversary Limited Masterbuilt Jason Smith (2025)
Fender Stratocaster 54 70th Anniversary Limited Masterbuilt Jason Smith (2025)
Here we have a “70th Anniversary Stratocaster,” masterbuilt by Jason Smith. Only a few of these strictly limited edition '54 Strats were built in 2024 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Stratocaster. It is a detailed replica of the original instruments, using many of the machines and manufacturing methods used 70 years ago. Every body contour, every pickup magnet and every screw has been faithfully recreated to create an exact replica of a 1954 Strat. The guitar features a nitrocellulose-lacquered, two-piece ash body and a one-piece maple neck with a “70th Anniversary Strat” profile that is indistinguishable from the U-profile used at the time. It feels great in the hand and is fatigue-free and extremely comfortable to play. In addition, three “Handwound 54” pickups have been installed, custom-made reproductions of the original 1954 pickups. The result is an incredibly resonant and sustain-rich Strat with a beautifully sparkling and bell-like tone. Exactly the sound you associate with a vintage Strat. It's great fun to work with the tone here. Jason Smith has also meticulously recreated the beautiful finish with the subtle relicing, the pickguard, the potentiometer knobs and the pickup covers, using the exact same methods and materials as the original. This is truly a piece of music history in your hands. So we are delighted to be able to offer you this special rarity in mint condition.
