This is a truly special highlight for all fans of classic 50s mapleneck Strats: a '55 Heavy Relic Stratocaster with super-bell-like "Handwound '55" pickups, an incredibly light "Roasted Ash" body, a killer look and Dale Wilson's signature authentic aging in a stunning "2-Tone Sunburst." It also features a great, slightly thicker "57 Style Soft V" neck, a modern 9.5" fingerboard radius and fast Medium/Jumbo frets. The result is perfect playability; the neck feels great in the hand and combined with its ideal weight plays fantastically. Even played acoustically you can enjoy the incredible resonance. Through an amp the handwound '55 pickups come into play, delivering their woody, pearly, and bell-like tones. Wonderfully balanced with ample midrange! This is exactly how a top-notch '50s Strat should sound! The in-between positions are particularly well done, producing a superb bell tone. Here Dale Wilson once again clearly demonstrates why you now have to wait more than ten years for his instruments and why his order books are overflowing.
