Fender Stratocaster 55 MBDII Super Heavy Relic (2024)
Fender Stratocaster 55 MBDII Super Heavy Relic (2024)
Boom! If you're looking for a Stratocaster with a classic look and top-notch playing and tonal qualities, you can't go wrong with this beauty, developed through a collaboration between Musikhaus Hermann and the Fender Custom Shop. Hence the unusual name "My Best Dude," which, however, only refers to the instrument's quality, not its price, as we can offer this superb Strat in mint condition at a Teambuilt price. To the delight of musicians this guitar boasts state-of-the-art features such as a 9.5-12" compound radius, the proven "60s Style Oval C" neck profile and the fast Narrow/Tall frets. Furthermore, it features a sorted ash body and, true to the era, a single-ply white pickguard and a "dark tint" mapleneck with a stripped back. The Strat exhibits a beautiful resonance, which is expertly transferred to the amp by the well-thought-out pickup combination: "Handwound Fat 50's" in the neck and middle positions and a slightly more aggressively wound "Handwound Texas Special" in the bridge position. This is further refined by a "Fat 50 Half Blend" control, allowing for seamless blending of the bridge and neck pickups. This delivers plenty of punch, while never losing the typical shimmer of a '50s Stratocaster. Clean, overdriven or high-gain — it's a blast to explore every note and unleash the full spectrum of classic Strat sounds. ...and the look speaks for itself. Classic "Black" finish with a fantastic "Super Heavy Relicing", complete with countless hairline cracks, minor and major imperfections, as well as significant paint wear. Just look at the aged fretboard to appreciate the meticulous attention to detail and craftsmanship that went into this instrument. Amazing! A guitar like this, which list price was €6,200, is simply not to be missed!
