Paul Waller works as a masterbuilder for Fender since 2010 and built guitars for Bono (U2), Keith Richards, Buddy Guy and also the Nile Rodgers "Hitmaker" Strat. This 56 Strat J-man Relic (Journeyman) is a masterpiece in itself. Just the extremely flamed neck with the very pleasant nature finish on the back is already the bang. The sound of this guitar is another highlight. When played unplugged the guitar is extremely direct, resonant and honest. The Fender 56 Handwound Josefina Customshop Pickups bring this sound experience to the amp. From Hendrix at the neck pickup, Clapton in the middle and Southern Twang at the bridge, everything is offered here. John Mayer sound in position 2 - no problem. And in the fourth position Sweet home Alabama sounds just as authentic as crisp Bryan Adams riffs. The neck has a slight V profile - not noticed when playing, but when reading the specsheet. So very discreet. Also a Lightweight Ash-Body and a Treblebleed on the Volumepoti was used. The guitar is in absolutely new and almost unplayed condition. Top Masterbuilt level with best sound and playing characteristics. Killer player!
