What a rare stroke of luck that we are able to offer you a hardtail Strat from top masterbuilder Todd Krause today. We can't remember the last time we had such a rare guitar in our hands. And then such a magnificent specimen! Hardtails have characteristic advantages in that they are generally not only lighter than tremolo Strats, but the direct connection between bridge and body also gives you an extra portion of sustain, attack and tone. This reveals an unbelievable fullness of sound that is rarely encountered. Fabulous resonance, lively and yet with great substance - even when played dry it's really fun to play! And the pickup combination used here is a dream! “Handwound 57” pickups on the neck and in the middle and a "Handwound Fat 50s" on the bridge with plenty of smack, but the typical sparkle of a 50s Stratocaster is never lost. Clean, distorted or high-gain, it's great fun to savor every note! The sound is clear and pure with an extra portion of treble chime, warm and gentle, but with a certain sharpness! The great overall package is rounded off by a 9.5” fretboard radius, "60 Style Oval C2 neck profile, the proven Narrow/Tall frets and a dream weight of just 3010 grams, which of course guarantees the very best playability. As we are dealing with a Strat from Todd Krause its look is of course also coherent and simply phenomenal: great “2-Tone Sunburst” finish with a relicing that only a few masterbuilders can achieve. In addition to countless hairline cracks and a super authentic vintage patina Todd was able to design the significant abrasion points in such a way that the structure of the wood stands out both visually and haptically.
