We are delighted to once again offer you a hardtail Strat from top masterbuilder Todd Krause. Guitars like this are extremely rare and this hardtail is truly a fantastic specimen! Hardtails have characteristic advantages in that they are not only lighter than tremolo Strats, but the direct connection between the bridge and body also gives you an extra dose of sustain, attack and tone. This reveals an incredible richness of sound that is rarely found. Fabulous resonance, lively yet with great substance — even dry, it's really fun to play! And the pickup combination used here is perfect! “Handwound 57” pickups at the neck and in the middle (including RWRP noise suppression) and a “Handwound Fat 50s” at the bridge with plenty of smack, but without ever losing the typical sparkle of a '50s Stratocaster. All this is combined with a treble bleed circuit that prevents any loss of treble when the volume is reduced. Clean, distorted or high-gain, it's a blast to savor every note! Clear and pure in tone with an extra dose of high-end chime, warm and smooth, but with a certain sharpness! This great overall package is rounded off by a 9.5“ fretboard radius, ”60 Style Oval C" profile, the proven Narrow/Tall frets and a dream weight of only 3010 grams, which of course ensures the very best playability. Since we are dealing with a Strat from Todd Krause, its look is of course harmonious and simply phenomenal: a superb “2-Tone Sunburst” finish with a relicing that only a few masterbuilders can achieve. In addition to countless hairline cracks and a super authentic vintage patina Todd knew how to design the significant wear spots in such a way that the structure of the wood stands out both visually and haptically.
