Anyone looking for an extremely well thought-out and soundmighty Super Strat will not be able to avoid this guitar. This '59 Stratocaster HSS Journeyman definitely falls into the category of guitars that you won't want to put down. The concept of a “Hot Rod Super Strat” has been consistently followed through here, but with extremely well thought-out specs, which in this combination make the greatest sense in terms of sound, feel and appearance: 22(!) 6100 Jumbo frets, 9.5-12’' fretboard radius and the popular “60 Style Oval” neck profile. In addition, an assorted alder body and a great pickup configuration: “Handwound 59” singlecoil on the neck, “Handwound Fat 50's” in the middle and a Seymour Duncan “78 EVH Zebra” humbucker on the bridge. The singlecoils offer the perfect 50's sound here and bring out the best in this extremely resonant gem on the amp. Lively bell tones, very bell-like with a great attack. So you can cover all the classic Strat sounds wonderfully, ...and the van Halen humbucker on the bridge naturally offers rich Rock planks of the very best, very fat tone with more than enough sustain for singing lead sounds. This Strat thus delivers the best of both worlds: uncompromising but always vivid Rock sound meets pearly, bell-like vintage tone! In terms of appearance the Strat is in classic, noble territory: a great weathered shade of “Olympic White” with a fantastic Journeyman relicing, which is limited to numerous hairline cracks and only a few small imperfections, creating a fantastic vintage patina. We are delighted to be able to offer you this fantastic Super Strat including the frets in top condition.
