This masterbuilder par excellence has again shown all his skills with this 1959 Stratocaster Heavy Relic: Faded 3-Tone Sunburst with a killer color gradient, gold-aged anodized pickguard, fantastic AA flameneck with a gorgeous rosewood fingerboard and of course a heavy aging with countless hairline cracks, small and big quirks, as well as a pronounced wear in the significant spots. Pure vintage look! The grippy 65-Strat C-neck profile is something you don't want to put down as it's perfectly playable in combination with the 9.5'' radius, the lacquer-free neck back and the 6105 frets, comfortable and fatigue-free. In terms of pickups, the tried and true blend of 69 Strat on the neck, Fat 50s in the middle and Texas Special on the bridge is used here. This pickup mix covers all the classic Strat sounds in top form and blends perfectly with the guitar's percussive yet sustain-rich basic character.
