Today we are delighted to offer you one of the last masterpieces from masterbuilder icon Vincent van Trigt. His phenomenal instruments, distinguished not only by their fantastic aging but also by their perfectly harmonious sound and exceptional playability, have firmly established him as one of the best and most sought-after masterbuilders. Sadly he recently left the Custom Shop, further increasing the rarity value of his guitars. His fantastic craftsmanship is also evident in this '59 Stratocaster. The wonderfully authentic Heavy Relicing, almost subtle by Vincent's standards, creates a unique vintage patina in combination with the matte finish. Numerous hairline cracks, minor and major blemishes and characteristic wear marks, ...every glance at this magnificent instrument reveals a new detail, meticulously applied. The period-correct Greenguard and the dark rosewood fretboard complete the picture. With its "60s Style Oval C" neck profile, 9.5" fingerboard radius, unlacquered back and the proven Narrow/Tall frets this Stratocaster is exceptionally comfortable to play and offers a superb feel. The guitar has a very percussive and sustain-rich fundamental character and the three "Handwound Fat 50's" singlecoils deliver the perfect sound on the amp: bell-like, shimmering, silky and always with enough belly.
