Even we rarely get to see such an exclusively designed instrument as this Super-Strat. Not only does it feature a very special gold finish in the color “HLE Gold,” which stands for “Haynes Limited Edition” and alludes to the 50s Strat played by Country and Jazz musician Homer Haynes in the 1950s. Here the gold finish was additionally applied to a base coat of “Sherwood Metallic” to underlay the extremely rare gold tone with wonderfully deep green flecks. In addition, a Heavy Relicing, which is by no means subtle with a multitude of hairline cracks, minor and major dents, as well as considerable paint abrasion, adds to its charm. But now to the inner values of this fabulous HSS Strat! Not only does the guitar look really good, it also offers the very best playing characteristics. With its unvarnished neck back the Super Strat feels as good in your hand as a well-played, old Strat. The “60 Style Oval C” neck profile in combination with the modern 12" fretboard radius and Medium/Jumbo frets guarantees fantastic playability and you can tell from the guitar's resonance that this perfectly balanced gem has been played a lot. On the amp the comparatively hotter-wound “Fat 50's” singlecoils on the neck and in the middle, as well as Eddie van Halen's Seymour Duncan “78 Zebra F-Spaced” humbucker on the bridge really pack a punch. With great harmony between the humbucker and singlecoils the guitar sounds like it's made from a single mold! From sparkling cleans to smacking but always transparent distortion sounds, everything is at its best here. To further optimize the playability and sound of the Stratocaster our luthier has installed a bone saddle. Otherwise it comes to its future owner except for minimal signs of play and use in original top condition.
