Fender Stratocaster 60 Heavy Relic Masterbuilt Kyle McMillin (2019)
Fender Stratocaster 60 Heavy Relic Masterbuilt Kyle McMillin (2019)
Kyle McMillin, one of the new masters in the custom shop world, has truly outdone himself with this Strat, which he crafted as a one-off for the 2020 NAMM Show. What we have here is a guitar that uniquely combines great sound, optimal playability and a fantastic look. First of all it impresses with its outstanding playing characteristics. The neck with its unvarnished back, 7.25-9.5'' compound radius, "Modern C" profile and Narrow/Tall frets fits perfectly in the hand and promises hours of comfortable and speedy playing pleasure. Thanks to the Heavy Relicing the guitar feels phenomenal to the touch and also looks really good. Heavy abrasion in the significant areas, as well as countless paint chips and hairline cracks give the “3-Tone Sunburst” finish a wonderfully patinated vintage look. But the absolute highlight is the sound of this dreamlike Stratocaster. Equipped with “Handwound 60's” pickups, handwound by none other than Josefina Campos, you can't get enough of listening to it. Authentic, rich and above all fat 60's bell tone. Juicy and smacking without compromising on clarity or definition. If you like clean or distorted, full-bodied Strat sounds, you'll get your money's worth here! We are delighted to offer you this special and superb instrument in top condition.
