Today we are delighted to offer you a truly unique Stratocaster from legendary masterbuilder Vincent van Trigt. It is widely known that Vincent has consistently created phenomenal instruments with an optimal combination of sound, playability, and look. But the way he has interpreted a sensational color combination such as “Dakota Red over Black” on this 1961 Stratocaster is in a league of its own. Fantastic idea, perfect execution, ...pure van Trigt! A classy matte finish, with an absolute attention to detail, fine hairline cracks, larger and smaller dents and characteristic abrasion marks have been applied in exactly the right places. This gives the guitar a super authentic vintage patina that couldn't be better. The reverse headstock perfectly complements the guitar's unique appearance. In addition to its fascinating look the Stratocaster also charms with the popular “65 Strat C” neck profile, a 9.5" fretboard radius and the amazing 6100 Jumbo frets, guaranteeing the very best playing characteristics. The pickups used here are “Handwound M.D. Bone Tones,” which are a perfect fit for this guitar. Developed by Vincent's teacher John Cruz these pickups are characterized by incredible warmth and richness combined with fast attack and response. These pickups are also used in John Mayer's guitar and this Dakota red beauty has exactly the same basic character. Whether clean, distorted or high-gain, it's fun to savor every note here! Juicy, smacking, yet clear, defined and transparent you can enjoy excellent Strat sounds, both clean and distorted, that are a real pleasure.
