A Pinup Strat has always been hard to get and had great rarity value, especially if it should come from the two stars among the master builders Dale Wilson or Vincent van Trigt. But now that the production of Pinup Strats at Fender has ended it will probably be easier to find a needle in a haystack than a Pinup Masterbuilt on the used market in the future. Therefore we are very pleased to be able to offer you another copy of this absolute rarity. This 1961 Strat was built by Dale Wilson especially for Musikhaus Hermann. ...and what a great instrument he built here! From the aging to the sound to the playability, absolute reference class. The aging and the varnish can really be called a work of art: Heavy Relic Olympic White over 3-Tone Sunburst. Every aging trace is extremely authentic and you really have the feeling of holding a real old Strat in your hand. The neck also feels like it's been played for 50 years. Fits great in the hand with the slightly beefier 60-Style Oval-C shape, 9,5'' radius, lacquer free back side and the comfortable 6105-Narrow/Tall frets. Three Handwound M.D. (Master designed) Limited pickups are used. And they, together with the guitar's top-notch vibration behavior, conjure up classic vintage Strat sounds in top form. Beautifully bell-like, round, with a great tone and super response. With this unique Pinup Strat Dale Wilson once again clearly shows how high he can set the bar. If you want to secure a beautiful, soundmighty rarity that will probably be hard to get hold of in the future, you can look forward to an incredible Stratocaster in mint , almost unplayed condition.
