A Pinup Strat has always been hard to get and entails great rarity value, especially if it should come from the two stars among the master builders Dale Wilson or Vincent van Trigt. But now that the production of Pinup Strats at Fender has generally ended it will probably become more and more difficult to find a Pinup masterbuilt on the used market in the future. Therefore we are very pleased that we can offer you again a specimen of this absolute rarity. This 1961 Strat was built by Dale Wilson especially for Musikhaus Hermann. ...and what a great instrument he created here again! From the aging over the sound to the playability, absolute reference class! The aging and the varnish can really be called a work of art: Heavy-Relic Olympic-White over 3-Tone-Sunburst with an incredibly detailed relicing. The neck also feels like it's been played for 50 years. Plays super modern with the comfortable 60-Style Oval-c shape, 9.5''-12'' compound radius, lacquer-free back and the fantastic 6100 Jumbo frets. Three Handwound M.D. (Master designed) Limited are used as pickups. And they, together with the guitar's top-notch vibration behavior, conjure up classic vintage Strat sounds at their best. Nice and belly, round with a great tone and a super response. With this unique Pinup Strat Dale Wilson once again clearly shows how high he can set the bar. If you want to secure a beautiful, soundmighty rarity that will probably be hard to get hold of in the future, you can look forward to an incredible Stratocaster in mint condition.
