A hardtail Strat usually resonates quite differently than Strats with tremolo, and this 61 Journeyman in heavily faded Sonic Blue is no exception. From the first chord, it's a pure joy to hear the sustain and overtones of the chords. If you play a little harder, you will also notice an outstanding attack - just the right thing for hard blues rock riffs or clean funk licks. You simply have to try out all styles to notice the tonal advantages of a hardtail Strat. The Handwound 60/63 singlecoils transmit everything to the amp with a lot of transparency and warmth. With its 60s style Oval C profile, 9.5" radius and the 6105 jumbo frets, the neck has Fender's best player specifications, so that no wishes remain open in terms of playing comfort. As a visual treat, there is not only the Journeyman relicing, but also clear flames on the AA neck.
