Fender Stratocaster 62 Relic "Shades of Burst" #7 Limited Masterbuilt Todd Krause (2014)

This 1962 Relic Stratocaster by Todd Krause comes from a limited special edition commissioned by Gernold Linke (mastermind of the German Fender branch) for the 2014 model year. Only eight specimens in elegant Sunburst were crafted by eight Masterbuilders. The brief was to interpret the "Sunburst" theme in their own way using a '62 Stratocaster. Todd Krause opted for a captivating "Violin Burst." He created a truly exceptional Stratocaster with "Josefina Handwound 60's" pickups, a "Mid '60s Style Oval C" neck profile, a 9.5" fingerboard radius and slightly higher 6105 frets, resulting in superb playability and an absolutely top-notch sound. The guitar's fantastic resonance is immediately noticeable and it resonates beautifully even unplugged. Sonically, it's absolutely top-tier, the very best Strat sound: beautifully resonant, bell-like and articulate with a fantastic attack and tone. It handles both clean and distorted sounds superbly. The gorgeous Sunburst finish features subtle relicing, giving this Stratocaster authentic vintage vibes. Add to that the stunningly figured flamed maple neck and the visual perfection is complete. So we are delighted to offer you this unique Stratocaster, highly rare and recognizable, which was featured in several pages of Grand Guitars magazine (issue 04/2014 enclosed), in mint condition with only minimal signs of play and use as well as slight plectrum marks.
