This John Cruz Strat brings best memories to me. It originally comes from my collection and was always my favorite Cruz Strat. The more I'm glad that it has found its way back to us. Rarely has a guitar inspired me as much as this Strat. It was originally built as part of a limited series for Pro Guitars. And the guitar was clearly inspired by the John Mayer No.1 Strat. Since the John Mayer No.1 was no longer allowed to be built, this guitar is as close as possible. Black Heavy Relic, especially on the back, super authentic, the Deluxe Styling tuners with the white Perloid buttons, Custom Compound Radius, Sorted Boy and the Narrow Tall 6105 frets for best playing comfort. The neck is simply brilliant in the hand, here you do not want to stop playing. Super flamed back with the wooden feeling. Josefina handwounds are used as pickups. Even though the spec sheet says 65 Handwounds, you know the pickups were wound to special John Cruz specs to get as close to John Mayer pickups as possible. This series was featured in Grand Guitars magazine. (The printout is included). When it comes to the sound, I can only rave about this one. Gorgeous warm, bell-like sound with a slight compression like you get from the real old Strats. Very dynamic and responsive to the smallest playing nuances. Here you want to play slowly to savor every note. Incredibly good instrument with the best playing comfort. If you are looking for an exceptional Strat, you will enjoy this one. The guitar is in top condition.
