What a rare stroke of luck that we are once again able to offer you a Hardtail Strat from top masterbuilder Todd Krause today. Super rare, super resonant! Hardtails have characteristic advantages in that they are generally not only lighter than Tremolo Strats, but the direct connection between bridge and body also gives you an extra portion of sustain, attack and tone. This reveals an unbelievable fullness of sound that is rarely encountered. Fabulous resonance, lively and yet with great substance - even when played dry, it's really fun to play! And the pickup combination used here, handwound by none other than Josefina Campos, is also extremely well thought-out and coherent: “Handwound 65” on the neck, a “Handwound Fat 60s” with RWRP in the middle to suppress noise and a somewhat hotter-wound “Handwound Texas Special” on the bridge, which comes with a lot of smack. This gives the wonderfully balanced basic sound of the guitar a thick portion of belliness and conciseness, so that you really get the best of all Strat worlds here. Clean, distorted or high-gain, it's great fun to savor every note! The great overall package is rounded off by a 9.5" fretboard radius, "60 Style Oval C" profile, the proven Narrow/Tall frets and an ideal weight of just 3320 grams, which of course guarantees the very best playability. And since we are dealing with a Strat from Todd Krause its appearance is also beautiful and above all super authentic: a great finish in "Faded/Aged 3-Tone Sunburst" with a relicing that only a few masterbuilders can achieve. In addition to countless hairline cracks and a super authentic vintage patina Todd was able to place the significant abrasions, dings and dongs so perfectly that you could really think you had a real old one in your hands. ...and as an additional treat you also get a signed photo of the masterbuilder. We are delighted to be able to offer you this masterpiece of guitar making in mint condition.
