Fender Stratocaster 63 Hardtail Relic Masterbuilt Todd Krause (2022)

After the last hardtail from top masterbuilder Todd Krause sold out very quickly we were lucky enough to find another one and are now able to offer you this Krause hardtail with a rosewood fingerboard. As soon as you open the case you're hit with fabulous vintage vibes! Even we rarely see a Stratocaster from the Fender Custom Shop that looks so strikingly similar to a genuine vintage model. The “Faded/Aged 3-Tone Sunburst” finish has been given a superb relic treatment, ensuring a super-authentic vintage patina. Countless hairline cracks and a variety of dings, dongs and paint abrasions have been placed in exactly the right, characteristic spots. Hardtails offer several advantages over regular tremolo Strats. They are usually lighter than the latter and the direct connection between the bridge and the body also gives you an extra dose of sustain, attack, and tone. This reveals an incredible richness of sound that is rarely found. Fabulous resonance, lively yet with great substance—even played dry it's really fun! In terms of sound, you get the ultimate package here as the guitar has been equipped with a superbly balanced, fantastic pickup combination, handwound by none other than Josefina Campos: “Handwound 65” on the neck, a “Handwound Fat 60s” in the middle with RWRP to suppress noise and a slightly hotter wound “Handwound Texas Special” on the bridge, which comes with plenty of bite and punch. This gives the wonderfully balanced basic sound of the guitar a thick dose of brightness and conciseness, so that you really get the best of all Strat worlds here. Clean, distorted or high-gain, it's great fun to savor every note! The fact that a “Fat 50 Half Blend” control has been installed, allowing you to mix the bridge and neck pickups continuously, and that the guitar also features “Tone Saver Treble Bleed,” which keeps the sound consistent when using the volume control, further enhances the absolute listening pleasure. Finally, this great overall package is rounded off by a modern 9.5“ fretboard radius, the popular ”60 Style Oval C" neck profile, the fast Narrow/Tall frets and an ideal weight of only 3320 grams, which of course ensures the very best playing characteristics.
