Actually, I (Michi) only wanted to play this Strat for a few minutes to be able to write this text afterwards. However, this turned into 20 minutes without me even noticing - and I had to really force myself to stop again. This '63 Heavy Relic by masterbuilder Kyle McMillin has a feel-good factor that is hard to explain. From the first note, everything just "fits", the feel of the neck, the sound.... it's the all-around package that makes you float into seventh Strat heaven. Surely the Josefina Handwound 60/63 singlecoils contribute their part, the grippy neck with oval C-profile, 9.5" radius and 6105 frets and possibly also the Cryo-Tuning (see here), which the guitar got afterwards. Sound-wise, the guitar doesn't have that one specialty either. No matter what you play, it feels right - whether thick blues sounds at the neck, funky singlenotes in the intermediate positions, or distorted riffs at the bridge. If you need a Strat that does it all, this is the guitar for you. By the way, this is the first guitar by masterbuilder Kyle McMillin that we can offer you, and hopefully not the last! The guitar comes to you in top condition.
