This '63 Relic from head masterbuilder Ron Thorn has already made it to prominence, as it was extensively checked out in the 07/20 issue of "Gitarre & Bass". "A Stratocaster can hardly be better in terms of handling and sonic finesse - a highlight of retrospective guitar building!" was the verdict of the review, and we couldn't say it any better. The guitar comes in a slightly darker "Chocolate 3 Tone Sunburst" and with not too much relicing. As a visual icing on the cake, the back of the neck is nicely flamed. The 7'25"-9.5" compound radius provides a modern feel. The "60s Style Oval C" is rather medium in thickness, so it should fit every hand well. Dry already nice and warm, round and balanced, the sound at the amp is a real highlight thanks to the three Handwound 55 Alnico III singlecoils. Incredibly bell-like, juicy and round and yet with enough aggressiveness and treble for distorted riffs, you get here a blues rock Strat in top form! Everything is 100% right here and you can see why Ron Thorn has the title "Principal Masterbuilder" in the Custom Shop.
