Alongside Jimi Hendrix's Woodstock Strat and Stevie Ray Vaughan's "Number One", Eric Clapton's "Blackie" is one of the icons of Strat history. Assembled from the parts of three different vintage Strats, Blackie accompanied the master on tour and in the studio for decades. In 2004, it was auctioned off for the fabulous sum of $959,000 in aid of Clapton's Crossroads Centre. Before it went to its new owner, however, it made a stopover at the Fender Custom Shop. There, Blackie was meticulously analysed and measured to make an exclusive reissue possible: The Blackie Tribute Stratocaster, which was offered in 2006 in a limited edition of 275 pieces. Only 90 of these left the USA and we are pleased to be able to offer you the copy with serial number DG403. Built by masterbuilder Dennis Galuszka, the guitar has all the specifications and playing marks of the original - from the chipped lacquer on the body to the discolouration on the fingerboard and the cigarette burn marks on the headstock. The precisely reproduced V-neck profile and the specially wound pickups ensure that you get exactly the feel and sound of the original. It also comes with a replica of the original Duck Bros flight case and the complete set of accessories and documentation materials. Blackie Tributes are extremely rare on the market and this one comes to you in mint collector condition!
