Fender Stratocaster Eric Clapton Signature NOS Masterbuilt Greg Fessler (2015)

Blackie, Clapton's legendary Stratocaster, and its influence on music history is well known. However, the fact that Clapton went on to play various Strats with the same special specs, even in different colors, is often not taken into account. The guitar at hand is a replica of a Clapton Strat in wonderfully “Vintage White”, which immediately captivates with its famously grained AAA maple neck. This exclusive interpretation was given an elegant NOS (New Old Stock) finish by masterbuilder Greg Fessler and equipped with the characteristic, low-noise Vintage Noiseless pickups. They deliver slightly more sustain due to the weaker magnetic field, but produce a slightly higher and more balanced output signal. A mid-range boost (0-25 dB) has also been installed, which allows the Stratocaster's singlecoil sound to be boosted towards a humbucker sound, giving the Strat incredible tonal versatility. In keeping with the original the tremolo is also blocked here and the “Clapton V-Shape” neck profile is used in conjunction with Vintage Style frets, ensuring the very best playability. Even played clean, the guitar has an extremely open, sparkling and clear sound and with every change of the midboost control you can visit another soundscape of Clapton's decades-long musical journey, even up to the fat, uncompromising sounds from the times of Cream and Derek & the Dominos.
