Wow! That's the only word we can think of for this Stratocaster by Yuriy Shishkov. Here you really don't know when you pick up the guitar whether it's a reissue or an actual vintage guitar. That's how authentic the 3-Tone Sunburst finish comes across. Shishkov's aging is simply killer: countless tiny hairline cracks, subtle wear only in the obvious places, as well as small and larger quirks in a wide variety of forms give this Strat a true vintage patina rarely seen. Of course this Late 60's Stratocaster, made especially for Winter NAMM 2008, also features the unmistakable large headstock and era-appropriate Schaller tuners. With its "Mid 60's Style Oval C" profile and 9.5'' radius its neck is super comfortable in the hand and fantastic to play in conjunction with the tried-and-true Medium Jumbo frets. Its Noiseless pickups, which deliver slightly more sustain due to a weaker magnetic field but a slightly higher and more balanced output signal in the process, exhibit exactly the sound you would expect from a Strat from the late 60's. Perfect for Blues and Rock! The intermediate positions are also particularly awesome, delivering a super bell tone with excellent assertiveness. Here simply everything fits!
