It's not necessary to tell much about this guitar, ...the legendary Number One Strat of Stevie Ray Vaughan in the Masterbuilt version! In 2004 John Cruz took the original and built a strictly limited, exact replica of the Strat that accompanied Stevie Ray throughout his career. Only 100 specimens were reproduced in meticulous detail work, every detail such as the enormous paint rub, the gold hardware, the side-inverted tremolo lever or the "Custom" sticker were recreated. Meanwhile the "Tribute" Number One is one of the most sought-after Custom Shop Strats and besides all the collector and investment aspects this Stratocaster is of course also convincing as a player all along the line. Right from the first notes it becomes clear which sound was the inspiration for this guitar: the clear, pearly tones of "Texas Flood" and "Pride & Joy", but also the wild, distorted licks as Stevie's beloved idol Jimi Hendrix used to play in songs like "Vodoo Child" and "Purple Haze". This guitar comes in absolute top condition complete with flight case, gig bag, pictures, strap, DVD and all case candies. Simply an iconic piece of music history with the very best value retention and greatest fun factor! The guitar even still has the original 013 strings on it, as it was delivered.
