Fender Telecaster 1950's Relic Masterbuilt Dale Wilson (2015)

We are delighted to be able to offer you an incredibly authentic 50s Telecaster from masterbuilder legend Dale Wilson. It comes with a wonderful relic finish in "Aged Vintage Blonde" that is truly second to none. At first glance you really think you have a real old one in your hands. You can not only see the wood structure through the thin nitro lacquer, you can also feel it. Abrasion in the right, characteristic places, smaller and larger quirks, as well as countless hairline cracks adorn the guitar's surface. The 52 pickguard in beautifully aged, yellowed white is a perfect match. This look alone makes it clear why the current waiting time for a new Wilson is around 10(!) years and why he is currently not accepting any new orders. This masterbuilder is simply a relicing specialist like no other. But it doesn't stop here with the look of this Tele. Dale has also come up with something special for the pickup configuration combining a Handwound Twisted Tele on the neck with a Handwound Original Blackguard on the bridge. A might of sound! Pure Blues at the neck, fat, differentiated and bell-like. Both clean and distorted you can really have fun here! And the OBG pickup on the bridge represents exactly the legendary sound of the original pickups at the beginning of the 50s. Bright twang, punchy mids, direct and wiry with a great attack. And always round, never too sharp. So it is certainly not surprising that the playability is also first-class thanks to a stronger neck with a Nocaster U-profile and an absolute dream weight of just 2970 grams, and that the guitar has been played a lot and with pleasure in recent years. As a result it is not only perfectly swung-in, but has also just been fitted with new 6105 frets by our trusted specialist.
