Andy Hicks is a passionate masterbuilder who never ceases to surprise us with his well thought-out concepts and fantastic instruments. This is also the case with this exceptional Tele, which comes with an extraordinary pickup combination. At the bridge is a “Handwound Loaded 51 Nocaster”, which when played distorted due to its approx. 1500 extra windings, can produce wonderfully hot, fat Rock planks and would also have impressed John Wayne with its clean twang sounds. Super direct with a great attack, great tone, clear and differentiated! The “Wide Range CuNiFe” on the neck produces the most voluminous humbucker sounds with lush basses and extremely clear trebles. This pickup can deliver “Hi-Fi” clarity while providing rich attack and defined tone, no matter how hard you play. Fender engaged the famous pickup designer Seth Lover, who was able to develop a high-output version of the two-coil pickup with typical Fender tone. The “Wide Range CuNiFe” works with large coils and a CuNiFe threaded rod magnet, which produce the characteristic brilliant sound. Naturally warm Blues, Rock and Jazz sounds par excellence! The fact that the Telecaster also looks really good is of course mainly due to Andy's phenomenal aging skills. The "Aged Black finish" is beautifully rocked and there's no need to talk about hairline cracks, individual flaws or abrasions. Hicks created an appearance as if this Tele had actually seen every club between London and New York. The chrome cover of the CuNiFe with an open pole-piece design and a vintage 70s Fender logo enhances the guitar's great look even more. Just beautiful! And this gem is also first-class to play: the stronger neck (.940-.970'‘) with a 9.5’' radius, "11/56 Off Center V" and Narrow/Tall frets sits perfectly in the hand and ensures maximum playing comfort. We can offer you the Telecaster, which original price is EUR 8,900, in mint condition.
