Fender Telecaster 52 Closet Classic Masterbuilt Greg Fessler (2013)

A Fender Masterbuilt is always something special and we are always delighted to be able to present one. In the case of this Telecaster built by Greg Fessler in 2013, however, the joy could hardly be greater, as even the first glance reveals that this is no ordinary Telecaster. It began its musical life with a so-called “Charlie Christian” pickup in the neck position, named after the larger-than-life Jazz guitarist. Although this pickup is included in the scope of delivery the previous owner aimed for a more bluesy style and replaced the signature pickup with a Seymour Duncan P90 soapbar (the pickguard was of course also replaced accordingly). In combination with the typical Telecaster bridge pickup the P90 provides fat and juicy sounds. Here everything is possible from bright Funk to warm Blues to earthy Rock in absolute top form. Super fast response and sufficient mids, but also wonderfully balanced, crisp sounds that can really be used for anything. Whether it's bright, clean chords, singing solos on the neck pickup or rhythm riffs with twang - we definitely didn't find anything that didn't sound fantastic with this resonant sound monster. To match this, Kloppmann Electrics carried out a so-called "grounding", in which a return conductor (ground) is created for all electrical components by means of internal wiring (see picture 21), which suppresses tonal interference and humming noises. This is definitely an instrument, which optimized upgrades have always focused on the musician! The choice of woods used and the workmanship are also of the very highest standard. The maple neck with its distinctively rounded D-profile is by no means too thick and ensures the very best playability. Visually, the pronounced sunburst with the extremely dark edges is immediately captivating, although it should come as no surprise that the original "Closet Classic" finish has also undergone a little "natural relicing" over the years, which only makes the look of the guitar even more awesome and authentic. Otherwise the Tele is including the frets in top condition and so we are delighted to be able to offer you this fantastic Masterbuilt at an absolutely special price.
