How much mojo can a Telecaster have? With this 1961 Limited Telecaster in a gorgeous and extremely rare "Faded/Aged Surf Green" finish only superlatives come to mind. It truly has everything a dream Telecaster needs! The striking look of the special finish with its fantastic, super authentic aging where the signs of wear are placed in exactly the right spots, combined with the deep, dark AAA rosewood fretboard, practically oozes Rock 'n' Roll from the case. And when you pick up the Telecaster, run your hand over the wafer-thin nitrocellulose lacquer on the body and the stripped-down back of the neck you realize that the look doesn't overpromise. The guitar resonates beautifully even unplugged and the comfortable "60s Style Oval C" neck profile, combined with a 9.5" fretboard radius and the proven Narrow/Tall frets, offers first-class playability. From the very first chord you'll notice that this guitar is loud, balanced and delivers just the right amount of bass and midrange. A Telecaster at its best through an amp! The warm and bluesy "Handwound Twisted Tele" neck pickup is a winner, while the "Handwound OBG" bridge pickup is beautifully direct, wiry and fat with a great attack, yet always smooth and never too harsh. The middle position offers a wonderful bell-like quality, perfect for both clean and slightly overdriven sounds. This Telecaster is a joy to play; it's an instrument that not only looks fantastic but also combines top-notch sound with a superb playing feel.
