Dale Wilson's Masterbuilts have an excellent reputation and this '63 Telecaster in classic "3-Tone Sunburst" only solidifies his place on the Olympus of guitar builders. Here outstanding aesthetics meet incredibly detailed sound! Typical for a '63, this Telecaster with its resonant alder body delivers a percussive basic sound, which the two "Handwound 63" singlecoils amplify. The pickups deliver a perfect blend of punchy Tele twang and brilliance without ever sounding harsh. The "Present-Day Tele 4-Way" switching allows for both pickups to be connected in series in the fourth position, resulting in a thick, humbucker-like sound with reduced noise. The quartersawn mapleneck features a dark AAA rosewood fretboard with a 9.5'' fretboard radius and 6105 frets, combining vintage feel with enhanced playability. All of this is rounded off by a detailed and authentic Heavy Relic finish that exposes the wood on the back of the neck and the arm rest and perfectly represents the strumming marks on the body. We are pleased to offer this great instrument in absolute collector's condition.
