Fender Telecaster 66 Custom Heavy Relic 3-Tone-Sunburst (2015)
Fender Telecaster 66 Custom Heavy Relic 3-Tone-Sunburst (2015)
Sometimes you pick up a guitar and everything just clicks! We had this experience when we opened the case of this beautiful Teambuilt Tele. Of course the first thing that comes to mind is Andy Summers' Telecaster, which he used for countless concert performances and studio recordings as the guitarist for The Police. An incredible look: the beautiful 3-Tone Sunburst finish is rounded off by a Heavy Relicing, which focused on the significant areas in particular, giving this guitar the impression that it has been rocking for decades. This look goes perfectly with the vintage-style white pickguard, the aged hardware and the humbucker at the bridge. Which brings us to the killer sound of this Tele: the combination of a “Handwound 51 Nocaster” at the bridge and Seymour Duncan's “SD SH1 NK 59 SE 4C NI” humbucker at the neck delivers all the twangy, open Tele sounds you know and love, but with the addition of a fat bluesy sound at the neck position. From twangy Country to crisp Funk to edgy Rock sounds, everything is at its best here. And since the playability feels first-class thanks to the medium “Eric Clapton V” neck profile, 9.5'' radius and 6105 Medium/Jumbo frets you'll want to play the fretboard for hours on end. We are delighted to be able to offer you this top-quality instrument with a Police look in top condition.
