We don't often see guitars like this Thinline Tele either. It's extremely rare to find a Thinline in a candy color, which makes this guitar an absolute rarity. What's more, this is a Custom model featuring beautiful cream-colored yellowed binding. Then, when you hear that this Thinline was crafted by masterbuilder Dale Wilson, you can hardly believe your luck! So we are extremely pleased to be able to offer you this dream guitar in mint condition with a wonderful surf look. It comes in the “Closet Classic” version, which means that the relicing is extremely subtle and limited to countless hairline cracks and a fabulous color shading of the “Aged Surf Green” finish. The very best playing characteristics are ensured by a neck with a “60 Style Oval C” profile, a 9.5'' fretboard radius, the popular “Vintage Upgrade” frets and of course the great weight of only 2620 grams. Sonically, this rare gem can cover just about everything a musician's heart desires, from warm clean sounds to juicy distortion. The “Josefina Handwound OBG” pickup at the bridge is beautifully direct, wiry and fat with a great attack, yet always round and never too sharp. The middle position delights with its superb bell-like tone, which is great for both clean and distorted sounds. But the absolute highlight here is definitely the neck pickup. The previous owner made an incredibly harmonious and fantastic upgrade by replacing the original Seymour Duncan pickup (included of course) with an “Ellisonic P90” by Ron Ellis. As Mr. Ellis himself explains, this delivers a clear single tone with a beautiful, swirling and harmonious “hair” that envelops the basic tones.
