Florian Jäger Propeller Prototype #1 (2008)

We are extremely pleased to be able to offer you a truly unique guitar today: a Florian Jäger "Propeller", which is the first Propeller ever, i.e. the original prototype. It was tested by Udo Pipper for the magazine "Gitarre & Bass", whereupon he was so enthusiastic that he immediately kept the guitar for himself. This Propeller is an original creation by Bavarian luthier Florian Jäger, which has been significantly influenced by the numerous Paulas that he has restored and reworked on a daily basis for a large number of customers from all over the world. It was crafted by hand with the greatest attention to detail, naturally incorporating all his knowledge from building and reworking the old originals. Particular attention was paid to the use of lightweight materials (only 4280 grams despite the Bigsby B7!) and, as known from Jäger's "Bavarian Makeovers", a specially produced nitro lacquer was also used for this Propeller. Not only does this result in a beautiful deep black vintage finish with countless fine lacquer cracks and brilliant aging, but it also has a positive effect on the vibration behavior allowing the guitar to resonate much more freely. Thanks to the super comfortable medium 59 neck profile it is excellent to play and its sound is absolutely top league. It is based on the characteristic Paula sound, just a little more voluminous, finer-grained, more dynamic, more powerful and more mature. With its hand-signed Antiquity-Humbuckers the guitar offers a fundamental sub-frequency that you can feel more than hear. The sound is simply complete. In the words of a previous owner: "The sound of the guitar can be described as anything from brilliant to unearthly". The guitar is in original condition except for the poti knobs and the fingerboard inlays. The original Gibson Reflector knobs had to be replaced over the years and other inlays were installed at Udo Pipper's request. The original pickups were also temporarily replaced, but are now back in the guitar. The condition of the guitar is very good apart from minimal signs of use and minor traces of play on the first few frets.
