They are increasingly sought-after and rare, ...the ES-335s from the Nashville Custom Shop. A real rarity, handcrafted in Nashville with great attention to detail (not to be confused with the cheaper Memphis series). Semi-hollows in the classic “Cherry Red” finish inevitably bring Eric Clapton's “Hare Krishna'” ES to mind. And Keith Richards also likes to show off a red beauty from Gibson. “Cherry Red” is certainly the most characteristic color for an ES-335 and in combination with the characteristic dot inlays is simply legendary. This is exactly how you imagine a real, old '59 ES-335! The neck here is also based on the original '58/'59 profile and accordingly well-proportioned and somewhat stronger. The workmanship of the semi-hollow is exemplary and the quality of the woods is more than just visually appealing. The playability of the thicker neck is also great. The built-in "57 Classics" pickups transmit the extremely resonant basic character of the instrument in an exemplary manner. Beautifully crisp and with just the right amount of Strat that makes the guitar really funky. The extra treble provides pearly cleans and assertive distortion sounds - but there is always enough warmth on the neck for Jazz and Blues. Simply a great mix with the very slight compression that also characterizes the original Vintage 335s. Extremely balanced with a great tone! Apart from minimal signs of use the guitar is in top condition.
