It's this spectacular grain that explains why, although a pickguard is included, the corresponding holes are not drilled. Gibson only does this with exceptionally beautiful grained guitars, so as not to disrupt the perfect look with even two small holes. Superb! Our example bears serial number 36 of only 500 Haynes Signatures ever made worldwide. A '61 reissue in perfection and its charming color adds that certain something that makes hearts beat faster. Gibson has adhered strictly to Warren Haynes' original, paying particular attention to using lightweight woods. "Lightweight Mahogany" was selected for the neck and body, while Gibson used select maple for the center block. The result is an exceptionally resonant swinging monster with a wealth of tonal facets. This ES-335 with two Burstbuckers sounds outstanding with no overemphasized frequencies. Excellent dynamics, superb sustain, paired with a powerful yet always woody hollowbody character! The medium "Custom '61 Haynes" neck profile also fits perfectly in the hand and invites hours of playing enjoyment.
