After all the Noel Gallagher ES-355s that we had on offer were sold in a short time and hardly any are left on the world market, we went looking for them again for you. And we are extremely pleased to be able to offer this virtually unplayed ES-355 Gallagher in absolute collector's condition. This replica, which was produced by the Gibson Custom Shop in a limited edition of just 200 specimens, is based on the semi-hollow that Noel Gallagher, guitarist and songwriter for the band Oasis, acquired in 1997. Initially he didn't want to play it because he thought it was too beautiful and actually wanted to mothball it as a collector's item. It was only at the beginning of the new millennium that he took it onstage with him and from then on it became an integral part of his persona. The guitar at hand immediately impresses with the obvious attention to detail shown by the Murphy Lab. Small and tiny hairline cracks run across the dark red cherry finish, the scratches on the back of the guitar, which so clearly characterize the appearance of the original guitar, have been beautifully and faithfully reproduced and the shine of the golden Bigsby has long since yellowed, ...at least it seems so. The ES-355 comes with unpotted Custombuckers, Grover kidney tuners, Bigsby B7, as well as a reproduced handwritten lyric sheet, a certificate with Noel's original signature and a custom Bear strap. With its maple body, mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard, a Varitone switch and Bigsby vibrato tailpiece this semi-hollow delivers incredible versatility. It can sound fat and smacky, but with an extra portion of airiness in the sound, but also warm, round and open. A true experience for the ears both clean and distorted!
