In 1997 Noel Gallagher, guitarist and songwriter of the band Oasis, acquired his Gibson ES-355, which he initially did not want to play at all, because he considered it too beautiful and wanted to mothball it as a collector's item. It was not until the beginning of the new millennium that he took it on stage with him and from then on it was impossible to imagine his person without it. In 2022, a replica of this guitar was now issued by the Gibson Custom Shop in a limited edition of 200 pieces.
