Gibson ES-355 59 Ebony VOS (2022)

It's rare to see a '59 ES-355, ...and even rarer to see such a beautiful and soundmighty specimen as this black beauty! The first thing that catches the eye here is the elegant Ebony finish and the tasteful "Faux Tortoise" pickguard, which in combination with the proven VOS finish result in a super authentic appearance. The dark ebony fingerboard, the block inlays, the yellowed binding and the aged, gold-colored hardware round off the amazing look perfectly. The neck has a '59 medium profile, so by no means too thick. It plays as if by itself! And the sound of the semi-hollow is in no way inferior to its look: beautifully round and percussive with a great attack. The Custombuckers Alnico-III are wonderfully crisp, fat in the mids and super defined in the bass. And because the guitar also has great resonance you really do get an ES-355 for life. In general, you're dealing with a very characteristic tone that you can't get enough of and that lies somewhere between the ES-335 and Les Paul.
