Gibson ES-355 60 Keith Richards Collector's Edition Signed Label (2025)

Keith Richards – the legend! For over six decades his music, his style and his escapades have been with us. ...and the various instruments Keef has played throughout his career have always been a source of discussion, speculation and many a fervent dream. Besides "Micawber" his jet-black 1960 ES-355 has of course fascinated fans and musicians alike. He first played an ES-355 in 1969 and took the guitar on tour and into the studio during the legendary recording sessions for "Sticky Fingers" and "Exile on Main St." His black '60s model has been a fixture on every Rolling Stones world tour since 1997. This very original served as the model for a strictly limited edition by the Gibson Custom Shop in Nashville, which presented 100 label-signed and 50 headstock-signed replicas. The label-signed specimen at hand was crafted using state-of-the-art 3D scanning technology, contemporary materials and construction techniques, as well as the Murphy Lab's aging process to capture every detail of the original, including its unmistakable tone. The result is a truly beautiful semi-hollow guitar that captivates from the first moment with its weathered black finish and elegant gold hardware – including a Bigsby B7 and Grover Rotomatics with milk-bottle buttons. Its playability is superb thanks to the comfortable Custom Keith Richards neck profile, the smooth ebony fretboard with mother-of-pearl block inlays and the proven Medium-Wide frets. Sonically, it certainly gravitates towards bluesy Rolling Stones territory: "Tumbling Dice" and "Brown Sugar" – these are the sounds this guitar is madxe for. The two Custombucker pickups (unpotted Alnico V) have a wonderfully crisp attack, fat mids and superbly defined bass. These pickups truly deliver everything you know and love about the sound of vintage PAFs. And because the guitar also resonates beautifully you're not just getting an incredible collector's item par excellence with enormous potential for appreciation, but also a top-of-the-line, soundmighty instrument, personally signed by the master himself.
