To mark the 50th anniversary of the existence of "Playboy" magazine the Gibson Custom Shop released this ES-356 in a strictly limited edition in 2004. As the little sister of the ES-335 the ES-356 enchants with the same airy, yet fat and smacky sound, while providing smaller dimensions and the associated more comfortable playing experience. Even when played dry this semi-hollow is a loud vibrating monster. Whether played clean or distorted it delivers a wonderfully warm, round and open sound that is a true sound delight. The gloss finish in "Vintage White" is also an absolute feast for the eyes as the originally yellowed finish has taken on a super authentic eggshell color over the years. The silver "Playboy" bunny and the characteristic "Playboy" lettering on the deep dark ebony fingerboard do the rest to give this instrument an extraordinary unique selling point. The playability is top thanks to the slimmer medium neck profile and a dream weight of just 3110 grams. So if you're looking for something really special, you've come to the right place. You can write an e-mail or give us call to anytime and we will find a suitable date. It doesn't matter if you want to try the instruments in a loud Live situation in our soundproofed rooms or in our own little recording studio – everything is possible to find your dream guitar.
Important: For security reasons we don´t have all guitars in our house but we can bring them here very fast – even on short terms.
