If you asked people who are neither guitarists nor collectors about the most legendary guitar, the so-called “Black Beauty” would certainly be at the top of the list. This is of course due to iconic musicians such as Keith Richards, Neil Young and above all Jimmy Page, who have all been seen on international stages with a jet-black Les Paul Custom for many years. This particular model has a dream weight of 3970 grams, which optimizes the interplay between sufficient swinging mass and excellent playability. In combination with the super comfortable '57 neck profile this results in fantastic resonance and an enormously comfortable playing feel. What's more, we have rarely experienced a Les Paul Custom blessed with such sustain and substance. When you switch on the amp, the Custombuckers deliver a Paula tone par excellence. Already beautifully juicy and round when played clean, the party really gets started when distorted. When you start blasting Rock riffs and flying across the fretboard with fast licks, you can hardly contain your joy. There's probably no need to say much about its characteristic look: deep black finish, which charms with its wonderful patina thanks to the vintage finish. This contrasts beautifully with the wonderfully yellowed binding and elegant gold-colored hardware. This is what legends look like! ...and the fact that this model also features “True Historic” specs such as select woods, hide glue, super-thin nitrocellulose lacquer etc. can only be considered the perfect finishing touch to this fantastic overall package, which also guarantees the very best value retention. Of course this gem has been played a lot and with great pleasure, as evidenced by a few slight signs of wear and tear and a little gold abrasion on the pickup caps. But aren't these exactly the preferred signs of aging that you pay a high price for when they are applied to other guitars at the factory? Perfect vintage patina! Wonderful, especially since this Black Beauty is otherwise in top condition and has been upgraded with gold-colored security locks.
