It does not have the extremely strong “Chunky C” neck profile of the '57 reissues, but rather charms with its medium “Modern C” neck, which fits fantastically in the hand and is extremely comfortable to play. Furthermore, specially wound '68 Custombuckers are used here, which as expected deliver a fat Rock sound at the bridge and singing lead sounds at the neck. Straightforward Rock sound with a great tone, perfectly balanced with enormous bite! Fast response, super attack, great frequency spectrum. Smacking sound with tight bass and just the right amount of treble! At the same time these pickups are also super differentiated and wonderfully disciplined with clean sounds, so you can enjoy every single note.
