Gibson Les Paul Custom Peter Frampton "Phenix" Inspired Signature (2020)

Few guitars have as much cult character as Peter Frampton's '54 3PU Les Paul Custom. For years this guitar was his constant companion and after a plane crash in Venezuela it was lost for 30 years. Today it is reunited with Peter Frampton and the Custom Shop didn't miss the chance to measure the guitar accurately and offer a limited replica series. Here we have the VOS version with the number 993. Characteristic here are definitely the 3 pickups, a 500T at the bridge and a 57 Classic each in neck and middle position. As another special feature, it has a 60's Slim Taper Frampton Custom Profile, which is a bit more thicker than the usual Slim Taper necks. Exactly the golden mean between slim taper and 59 neck. The electronics are also very sophisticated. The upper two pots represent the master volume and tone controls for the two outer pickups (neck and bridge position). The 3-way switch works just like any other "normal" Les Paul: neck, neck and bridge, bridge (position one to three). The two lower pots then represent the master controls for the middle pickup, which can be added to any of the three switch positions via the volume pot (similar to Fender's "blend" control). This results in the following additional possibilities: Switch position one: neck and middle. Switch position two: All three pickups together. Switch position three: middle and bridge. Sound-wise, the guitar is incredibly flexible and offers all the classic Les Paul sounds in top form and so much more. The guitar is in top condition, as good as new with no play marks on the frets.
