Gibson Les Paul 58 Murphy Lab Authentic Aged Factory Special Golden Era (2023)

As the name of this Paula, which was produced as part of a strictly limited small series especially for Musikhaus Hermann, suggests, it comes with numerous optional extras. It starts with the paintwork. As is well known the early "Burst" finishes faded over the decades, so that in the end little or no red was visible. This lightweight (only 3570 grams!) also shows with such a color. The paint is called "Custom Factory Antique Lemon Burst" and was applied particularly thinly. In combination with the Murphy Lab's super authentic Ultra Light Aging with only subtle "signs of use" this '58 Burst has a truly phenomenal look. And like the majority of the originals of this model year it certainly also comes with a beautiful plain top. But the first thing you notice is the ingenious neck profile. The "Authentic Fine Carved 59 Rounded Neck Shape" is by no means the usual, extremely thick profile that you would expect from a 58 reissue. Rather this is a super comfortable 59 profile. So comfortable in the hand that you won't want to put this Paula down any time soon. Further MHH upgrade specs include Custombuckers, that can be split via two Push/Pull potis (on the neck: underwound Murphy MHH Custombucker). Special attention was paid to the selection of ultra-lightweight woods and a one-piece mahogany body. In addition, an abalone sidedot on the 21st fret indicates that this is a special series. As far as the sound is concerned this Les Paul is absolutely top class. Already super resonant, loud and "woody" without an amp it shows all its class with an amp: on the one hand extremely fat and smacking, on the other clear and crisp. ...and on top of that the split function of the humbuckers opens up an almost infinite variety of sounds. It's up to the player to decide which part of the sound spectrum they want to use.
