And of course everyone knows what this is... the replica of one of the absolute icons of Rock history, one of the most sought-after Les Pauls ever made in the Gibson Custom Shop. For us it's always one of the best when it comes to Les Pauls. Whether as a player or an investment, this guitar is one of Gibson's absolute highlights. It is an exact replica of Saul Hudson aka Slash' '58 First Standard. Even the Gibson Custom Shop says that it was their most elaborate project to date in terms of aging and attention to detail. These Paulas have long been sold out worldwide and the guitar not only guarantees the best value retention, but is also a top player with the best sound characteristics and a stunning look. The aging, applied personally by master Tom Murphy, is unparalleled: countless hairline cracks meticulously placed by hand, lots of playing marks and simply super authentic! Every tiny detail of Slash' original '58 model has been meticulously reproduced here. A dream neck with a comfortable Medium '59 profile, nowhere near as thick or chunky as some '58 necks. Plays fantastically, especially in combination with its dream weight of just 3640 grams. ...and in terms of sound it certainly echoes the sounds of Guns ‘n’ Roses: already super resonant when played dry, the specially wound Custombuckers really let rip when plugged into an amp.
